A Short History…

Shelby Baptist Association (SBA) is made up of Southern Baptist churches in Shelby and Spencer counties.  In 1872 eleven churches met at Clayvillage Baptist Church to form a voluntary association of churches for the purpose of maximizing the benefits of jointly carrying out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).  The dream then was that Christians can accomplish far more together than what they could do alone.  This idea still guides our work together.  Today the SBA consists of 28 churches and one mission.
